Projects

CCBR typically has 15-20 ongoing projects and has completed over 400 projects since 1982. Each project is guided by our commitment to impacting social change in practical and powerful ways. We conduct research with people not on people, cultivating respect with communities at every step of the process.

Projects can be searched for using words from the project title or using the service area, theme, or date range for the project. You can also type 'Service Area' or 'Theme' into the search bar to get a list of options in each of these fields.

The First Link Care Navigation connects people living with dementia and their care partners with information, supports, and services as early as possible and throughout the progression of the condition to meet unique client needs. CCBR conducted an evaluation of the enhanced and expanded First Link program involving nine Alzheimer Society sites (year 1) and all 30 sites (year 2) across Ontario. This First Link initiative formed as part of Ontario’s Dementia Strategy. CCBR developed a comprehensive evaluation framework to guide the evaluation from 2018-2020. CCBR has implemented this multi-site, multi-method evaluation that involves managers, staff, people who live with dementia, their care partners and both community and primary care providers. This program is funded by the Alzheimer Society Ontario.
