Projects
CCBR typically has 15-20 ongoing projects and has completed over 500 projects since 1982. Each project is guided by our commitment to impacting social change in practical and powerful ways. We conduct research with people not on people, cultivating respect with communities at every step of the process.

CCBR worked with the Bay Area Climate Change Council (BACCC) to co-design and facilitate the workshop, “High-Performance Buildings in the Bay Area.” This in-person session brought together a coalition of interest holders, including market and non-market housing developers, building professionals, skilled trades, and technology providers, to explore how they can accelerate high-performance, low-carbon housing within a policy-constrained environment. Through facilitated discussions and collaborative activities, participants shared real-world examples of market innovation already underway, helping to build confidence that high-performance and low-carbon housing could be delivered locally and immediately. The workshop also identified the most promising market-based opportunities for advancing these housing solutions. Aimed to strengthen relationships among key actors, the session laid the groundwork for future collective action in the Hamilton and Burlington Bay Area.
