CCBR typically has 15-20 ongoing projects and has completed over 450 projects since 1982. Each project is guided by our commitment to impacting social change in practical and powerful ways. We conduct research with people not on people, cultivating respect with communities at every step of the process.

Projects
CCBR advised the Family Education Centre on development of tools and plans for evaluation of a parenting education and support program in Peel Region.
CCBR developed an evaluation framework, logic model, and performance measurement strategy for the evaluation of nine components of the United Way of Greater Toronto Building Strong Neighbourhoods Strategy.
CCBR developed tools for the evaluation of waitlist management strategies, analyzed data, and produced an evaluation report.
CCBR conducted a research project designed to anticipate the size and complexity of the workload for a provincial tribunal with a newly expanded mandate to respond to complaints about child welfare issues.
CCBR assisted in review of overseas partner plans and contexts, and completion of CIDA Voluntary Sector Program application form for a 5-year co-financing program. This review was funded by the Christian Reformed World Relief Committee.
CCBR supported UCC’s Government Grants Manager in analysis of partner reports and development of a year-end results-based program performance report for CIDA co-financing. This work was funded by the Justice, Global & Ecumenical Relations Unit, United Church of Canada.
An organizational review assessed current and emerging needs of refugee claimants, identified existing support services in the community, and developed a strategic plan that strengthens the role and effectiveness of the Coalition in its support of refugee claimants. This review was funded by Ontario Trillium Foundation.
In collaboration with a national task force, CCBR conducted a research project to identify models and options for an enhanced research and knowledge mobilization capacity of disability community organizations. The project was funded by Canadian Association for Community Living.
CCBR developed a results-based program performance planning sheet for the CIDA Co-financing program. This work was funded by Presbyterian World Service & Development.
CCBR consulted with students and employees about the use they had made of a strategic plan completed two years previously and made recommendations about next steps with respect to updating or renewing the strategic plan.
CCBR designed and implemented a process and short-term outcome evaluation of a family support policy capacity building strategy. The policy goals were to advance the full citizenship of people with disabilities by enabling caring relationships among family members as one source of disability-related support. The evaluation was funded by Canadian Association for Community Living,
CCBR designed and implemented an ongoing tracking and evaluation system for a multi-service program for youth based in a Mississauga mall. Our evaluation focused on the outcomes for youth and for participating agencies. The work was funded by Rapport Youth and Family Services.
