CCBR typically has 15-20 ongoing projects and has completed over 450 projects since 1982. Each project is guided by our commitment to impacting social change in practical and powerful ways. We conduct research with people not on people, cultivating respect with communities at every step of the process.

The Mennonite Brethren (MB) Confession of Faith is a guide for biblical interpretation, theological identity, and ethical practice. This research project explored the divergent ways that Canadian MB congregations have used the Confession to guide their thought and action.
It is believed that such an understanding may help steer a pathway forward for national leaders who are responsible for discerning and deciding when and how the Confession might undergo thoughtful revision. The project involved qualitative interviews with the MB pastors across Canada and online forums.
