Projects

CCBR typically has 15-20 ongoing projects and has completed over 500 projects since 1982. Each project is guided by our commitment to impacting social change in practical and powerful ways. We conduct research with people not on people, cultivating respect with communities at every step of the process.

Projects can be searched for using words from the project title or using the service area, theme, or date range for the project. You can also type 'Service Area' or 'Theme' into the search bar to get a list of options in each of these fields.

This winter and spring, CCBR partnered with youth, academic partners, and community organizations on the Art of Wellness Team to co-design a 5 year Canadian Institutes for Health Research CBR Team grant on capacity-building, and knowledge sharing on arts-based STBBI prevention and sexual health promotion programming for youth. The larger aim of the grant, if funded, will lead to the co-creation of community-oriented resources for the successful implementation of arts-based STBBI prevention programming that will contribute to more equitable health outcomes for youth across Canada.

CCBR led the design and facilitation of online co-design meetings, a national 2 -day research design retreat, and the establishment, design and (co)facilitation of youth advisory meetings, with support from a wider team. Together, these activities will lead to the development of a 5 year grant submission to the Canadian Institutes for Health Research.

The CIHR funded grant is housed at Dalhousie University, led by Rachel Landy  - alongside a much wider team.
